EMT-B Programs. Our 140+ hour long EMT-Basic Program at When Seconds
Count, Inc. offers comprehensive classroom training, and the opportunity
to observe ambulance operations during an ambulance ride-along. Students will receive a Healthcare Provider CPR Card from the American Heart Association upon successful completion of the CPR course. After successfully completing the EMT-Basic Program, students receive a When Seconds Count, Inc. Certificate and are eligible for the State Certification and Licensing Examination. This program includes 3-4 Saturday sessions. As part of this program, you will also be certified at the required Healthcare Provider CPR level. If you are currently certified at the American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR or American Red Cross Professional Rescuer CPR level, your card must be current throughout the EMT-Basic Program. You must be at least 18 years of age to take the State Certification Examination. Early registration is strongly recommended as seating is limited!
