EMT Basic & Paramedic Refreshers On Line

There are two components of each program. Both must be completed within the same calendar year to complete your Refresher requirements.

1. BASICS: 20 hours of online training
   PARAMEDICS: 45 hours of online training
   This MUST be completed prior to attending the hands-on portion of the program. Users agree to listen and read all content for each module prior to submitting the final exam to complete this component.


2. BASICS: 4 hour hands-on training
   PARAMEDICS: 3 hours hands-on training
   You MUST be registered for a class before attending. Upon successful completion of the online portion which includes a 100 question examination, you will receive a confirmation page that will include your scheduled hands-on date. Please email us at info@whensecondscount.net to confirm you are on the roster (include your name, EMT# and class date you signed up for).

After purchasing the Refresher program, log into your account and click on "Lectures and Exams" to sign up for the hands-on portion. Please select a hands-on course prior to starting the modules to ensure you get a seat in one of the classes. Purchasing the refresher does not guarantee a class other than the times posted on the website. If you do not show up for the hands-on class that you have signed up for, there will be a $25 re-scheduling fee.

To begin your Refresher course, click on the online link FOR THE APPROPRIATE LEVEL CLASS! Basics will view 8 modules and the Paramedic program consists of 17 modules.

As soon as you begin to review any module, the system will flag that your refresher expires on 12/31 of the current year. MA OEMS requires that both the online and hands-on components are completed within the same calendar year.
