CECBEMS is the national accreditation body for all EMS-related continuing education programs. The CECBEMs organization develops and implements policies to standardize the review and approval of EMS continuing education activities. In January 2001, new policies were implemented by CECBEMS. All of lectures with MedicEd.com have been approved by CECBEMS under these new guidelines.

The National Registry of EMTs (NREMT) accepts continuing education that is approved by CECBEMS.

NREMT Basic:
The NREMT will allow up to 24 hours toward Section II (continuing education requirements) through MedicEd.com for re-registration, provided this education is approved by CECBEMS on or after January 1, 2002. NREMT will also allow up to 10 hours towards Section I-A (refresher requirements) of distributive education for re-registration, provided the topics are approved by CECBEMS and/or the state office of EMS.

NREMT Intermediate/85 and Intermediate/99:
The NREMT will allow up to 18 hours toward Section II (continuing education requirements) through MedicEd.com for re-registration, provided this education is approved by CECBEMS on or after January 1, 2002. NREMT will also allow up to 10 hours towards Section I-A (refresher requirements) of distributive education for re-registration, provided the topics are approved by CECBEMS and/or the state office of EMS.

NREMT Paramedic:
The NREMT will allow up to 12 hours toward Section II (continuing education requirements) through MedicEd.com for re-registration, provided this education is approved by CECBEMS on or after January 1, 2002. NREMT will also allow up to 10 hours towards Section I-A (refresher requirements) of distributive education for re-registration, provided the topics are approved by CECBEMS and/or the state office of EMS.

"Certificates of Completion" earned will have the corresponding CECBEMS approval number listed on them.
